La muchaca de la motocicleta

Marianne is the one on the ground in purple:
One of my all time favorites (and I'd imagine quite a rare photo):
This is another rare favorite:
Marianne at her most beautiful, during the filming of 1968's The Girl On A Motorcycle, directed by Jack Cardiff and also starring Alain Delon.  The movie starts with Marianne, newly married to a boring but kind school teacher, awaking from bed, thinking torrid thoughts of Delon, her former lover.  She suits up in her leather body suit (which fits her like a glove, obviously), and gets her motorcycle (a wedding gift from Delon) out of the garage and starts her journey to his place.  While riding, she has lurid flashbacks of meeting him in her father's bookstore, the great sex they had, and how she ended up with her husband (poor guy).  Like I've said before, a great movie? Well, no. But SO worth it to get 90 minutes of Miz Faithfull in her unadulterated prime - 20 years old (it was filmed in 1967) - and the most stunning girl on the planet (at least to me).

Marianne on the film: "I made a couple of terrible movies that year. I'll Never Forget What's 'is Name with Oliver Reed in which, appropriately enough, I have the distinction of being the first person to say "fuck" in a legitimate movie. And the soft porn Girl On A Motorcycle. It took three months to make. I was away a lot and Mick visited me on location in Zurich and Heidelberg and the South of France. Alain Delon was the star, and very early on in the film he tried to pull me in the same desultory way that Roy Orbison had. When I turned him down, he became very sullen and nasty and difficult. He was such a pompous ass, in any case, and every time he said that ludicrous line, 'Your body is like a beautiful violin in a velvet case,' while unzipping my leather suit, I would crack up. It was dozens of takes before I could do it with a straight face."

All pics and screen caps = my scans, as always, so please credit if you repost.

I wonder if Mick got jealous seeing her half naked on the set with another man.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I found your blog through a Keith Richards google image search, and it was one of the best things I've ever clicked. Thank you SO MUCH for all the time you've put in scanning all of these photos, throughout your entire blog. I really can't express how much it means that you've created such a thing here. This is a treasure trove, I tell you! Found so many pictures on here that I've never seen before and it was such a thrill. You are clearly an asset to the Marianne Faithfull, Anita Pallenberg and Rolling Stones communities. Keep it up, I'll be checking back. Again, thank you, amazing, amazing blog :]
