Sixties It-Girl: Pattie Boyd

Next two photos scanned from Birds of Britain (c 1967), taken by John d Green:
Quite possibly my favorite picture of her. I scanned this from Goodbye Baby & Amen, a big book published in 1969 by David Bailey. His photos were incredible:
Another rare find. This was scanned from Michael Cooper's suberb photo book Blinds & Shutters.  Pattie (far left) is seen here on the set of the photo shoot for the Sgt. Pepper's album cover. Michael Cooper is in the middle, smiling, beside the Beatles:
all photos are my personal scans, as usual. if you post these photos on another site, please have some courtesy and credit this blog. I've noticed that virtually every one of my Marianne Faithfull pictures has been posted on several different Tumblr sites, the "blog" owners not crediting me and claiming the photos as their own. This is most upsetting. Thanks.

Hey you, stop posting pictures if you don't want anyone to take them? Wtf its blogspot.com you blog on, you post plenty of nice pictures. Do you really think that everybody will tell you or give you a note that they will take pictures. I mean grow up, I know you want to post pics and bla bla bla. But this is the fucking internet, deal with it. I get so angry, wake the fuck up, If you are going to cry everytime someone takes a fucking picture of Marianne, Mick, the stones or the beatles STOP POSTING THEM IF YOU DONT LIKE IT. This is the fucking internet, grow up, jeez, don't have a blog if you already know that people will take pictures from you. Seriously? I get so fucking angry here, ''Leith'' If you dont like it end your blog. Its ashame that people dont ask you if the are going to take any pics. But are you mentaly stupid? NO ONE DOES THAT.
Yeah, good luck. Stop fucking complaining.

Another thing, On the top of your blog under Marianne Faithfull pic there some songs that she inspired the stones. You wrote Let's Spend The Night Together.
Are you fucking out of your mind? That song is a cover the stones did. But orginaly Muddy Waters sang. So HOW did Marianne inspire them to write that song when it was even written before Mick even meet marianne? Jeez, you dont have any clue.
Excuse my english, Im not american or english.

Uhhh...sorry "Anonymous", "Let's Spend The Night Together" is NOT a Muddy Waters song. He covered it, but Mick and Keith wrote it...

If you're going to insult me, you aren't doing a very good job.

I don't think it's unreasonable for a blog or website owner to ask that people have a little common courtesy or netiquette by not taking photos.

Im not insulting you, But I think you have BEAUTIFUL pictures. Im a big Rolling Stones fan and I live for rock n roll, 70's and 60's. So ofc its a shame then people don't ask you if they can take some pictures you have post. But seriously, what do you expect? I mean I have taken a billion pictures from your blog, but I don't post them anywhere I just save them om my computer. Because i simple love the rolling stones and I can tell you that I burn for the rolling stones and sorry If I have taken pictures and from now on I will tell you but Its all so slow. Because you see a nice picture then you have to WAIT for you to say that its ok. You know, no one have the time for that.. I simple adore your pictures but what I hate is that you get so angry when someone takes a picture.. I mean its the internet, people are shity and they are the way they are. So dont expect people to be sweet as suger. And Let's Spend The Night Together is NOT written about Marianne. The other songs you wrote is right but that song is no marianne...
Another thing, Bianca Jagger is SO MORE BEAUTIFUL than Marianne Faithfull. Marianne looks like a random english girl. She was a cracked up coke girl and she just made Mick use more drugs. No wonder why Mick started to like Bianca after Marianne. Bianca became his wife and the mother of his child. Marianne was a slut and a junkie. Bianca had a sense of style and class. Marianne just was a girl with opened legs, she waited Mick to come and f*** her and she always took little Nicholas on drugie parties and wasnt a good mother.

Excuse my english! But I know Im a Bianca-Mick lover and everyone has a opinon but dont write crap about beautiful Bianca. She was a stone godess as well and she made Anita to feel bad about her self. Because Bianca was self confident. Did you know that? I guess not.

''she was certinly no Marianne''

- HELL YEAH, she was better!

Good Luck!!

I have no problems with you saving my pics to your computer. I would never expect you or anyone else to ask me if you can. That's not what I mean. And I don't expect people to tell me every time they are going to save a picture from my blog and then post it on their own site. That's fine. What is NOT fine is if they don't simply put "photo courtesy of http://dietcokeandsympathy.blogspot.com" or something like that. Instead, they just post them as if THEY bought, scanned and edited the picture, and that's just bullshit. I've spent a lot of time and money on my collection and take pride in it.

And how do you know "Let's Spend The Night Together" isn't about Marianne? I'm not saying it's all about her either, just that it was at least inspired by her and Mick's budding relationship when he wrote it. I've read that in books as well, so it's not like I just came up with it on my own.

I hear you and I understand you. I have saved great pictures of The Rolling Stones from your blog and I say it. I have a blog too and sometimes I post them on the blog but I never though what you wanted me to credit you blog everytime when I only post one picture. But in the future I will. If I was in your situation I would say the same thing so I understand. I will credit your blog from now on but sometimes I feel that you ONLY want us to credit your blog so you can get many readers. Hey, Im only 16 years old and you are in your twenties? I admire your blog and having the guts to post great pictures and just going with the flow. So respect to that. Im not going to be all sweet suger now but before I started my blog I was reading yours all the time. It was my religon because you had some many pictures of my idols. You know? I never really got it, how do you scan pictures? I mean where? I would be so pleased if you just gave me some tips and info if you wanted.

I not a fan of Marianne Faithfull but I like Anita. Because she was herself, but Marianne was just... hmmm, how do I say? little bit of boring and enoying. She just made a mess of everything. First she hooked up with Keith and teased Mick for a long time. She was so addicted to drugs and I don't find that attractive in a lady. And she was pregnant while she took drugs.

Great blog! Sorry for the missunderstandig before!

Hi, thanks for the comment. To scan all the photos I have, you have to buy a photo scanner, and of course, the items to scan. The scanner I have is a Epson V500. Most of my photos come from vintage magazines from the 60's and 70's (which I buy on www.ebay.com). I also own many, many Rolling Stones books, and I scan a lot of photos from there as well. I hope this helps. I'm flattered and happy that you like my blog. I don't want people to credit me so that I get more readers... even if I had 10,000 readers I would not be earning any money from this or anything. I just want the credit so that people acknowledge all the time and money that I have put into my photo collection. If you want to email me to talk about photo scanning or the Stones, or anything else, my email is: leith.richards@gmail.com. :)
