Come My Way

I haven't made a post in a while, so I thought I would go through old magazines and what not for some photos of a young Marianne Faithfull.  It's interesting to see how much her look evolved (and how sexualized she became) as she got into her twenties.  Most of these shots are from mags or newspaper articles published in 1965, when Marianne was 18 years old and looked positively virginal.  No wonder Andrew knew instantaneously that he could sell that image to the masses!   Personally, I prefer pics of Marianne from around mid-1966 to 1968, post-pop singer and pre-drug addiction.  She was at her most beautiful then.  She let her hair grow long and seemed to have more personal style once she gave up singing and spent time filming movies like The Girl On A Motorcycle and being Mick Jagger's S.O.  Of course, shopping on King's Road must have helped.  Enjoy!

I think I just died and went to heaven. This is a phenomenal blog about all the things I've been into since 1980: The Rolling Stones, Keith Richards, Anita Pallenberg, Uschi Obermaier ... I can't believe I didn't come up with this blog myself!

Might I suggest you also check out 60s jolie-laide model PENELOPE TREE?

Keep it up. I've linked to your blog on my blog roll.
