These stunning photos were all taken by Gerard Malanga. Scanned by me from a book of his I recently won on eBay (these are just some of my faves, there are lots more). Some of our favorite rock n' rollers and poets. Hope you enjoy!
FWIW, The Stones ( or their record company anyway ) is re-releasing Exile On Main Street in some sort of "collector's edition" with a number of new tracks.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of excitied about it. You always had to know that a lot of perfectly good material wouldn't make the cut. I mean afterall, this was -already- a 2-record set! And really in an era where they were fading out anything but single LP releases.
From what I understand there's 10 new tracks and... they've gone back and re-mastered a few. That's where I'm a little nervous. Why tamper w/ perfection? They'll also include a 50 page book with all new photos from those recording sessions ( so.., we'll see how that goes! ( Fingers crossed )

Fabulous. Like a stroll down memory lane for me. And hooray, you've got a poet.
