To celebrate the release of Keef's book tomorrow (SO FUCKING STOKED), here are some photos of the most elegantly wasted human being, my personal Jesus, Mr. Keith Richards!

THANKYOU!!!

I'm OBSESSED with Keef!
I have a framed picture of him next to my bed!
I actually got asked to coffee by a guy this weekend and I told him that...and he didn't know who Keith was.
So obvously there will be no second date.

Hi! Great blog, found this little Marianne snippet in US Vogue November 1969 and thought you might like it:

"The Human Riff"

Leith, if you're the first writer to pen that, kudos on you! ( I've never heard a more apt description of the man )

I'm excited to get the book and more of late, for the wisdom that comes from a man that's been there. One of the reasons I feel Exile On Main Street has continued to do nothing but climb the charts of the all time greats is that.., it serves primarily as, a Warning!

There's nothing easier than "embracing the 'down' side of Life"! ( Just trust me on this ) Drugs, casual sex, LOTS of alcohol! But the album shares, there's a 'cost' to all of that. Sure, go ahead, knock yer' self out! Parts of it can be really fun. But there's pain, and plenty of it. It's why it ends w/ "Soul Survivor".

As I read "According To The Rolling Stones"... it left me feeling queasy. In the end, I'd say more pain than pleasure. So I'm eager to read what Keith is up to and how he looks BACK on all of this? Thanks as always Leith!

Keith Richards. You don't get anywhere near as cool as him. Hell he was even born with a badass name. That isn't a stage name. Keith Fucking Richards. Add to that some guns, a chipped tooth, his Jamaican ratchet, a cigarette, some spoons and needles in his guitar case with his telecaster slung low around his neck playing jumpin jack flash and goddamn you've got a real life movie character. And at the end of the day, that's what makes him so damn cool. He had a life that if you were able to capture every second of it on camera you'd have filmed the single greatest movie of all time. But he wasn't an actor, all that shit was real. The drugs, the busts, the many car accidents and smack withdrawals. How he got out alive is a wonder of the world. Most people couldn't do it. They'd try but cry and Piss themselves if a cop even came up to them. Keith fought the law and Keith won
