Cyrinda Foxe (Part 2):
Cyrinda Foxe and David Johansen were the toast of the hip New York City rock scene in the mid 1970s. She was a young actress who modeled her look after Marilyn Monroe and hung out with the likes of Andy Warhol, David Bowie, and famed transvestite Candy Darling. He was the front man of 1973’s hottest east-coast band, the New York Dolls, and looked like Mick Jagger and dressed like a whore. The Dolls were on fire back then; tight playing, great get-ups, and adored by critics. Their self-titled release, out that year, is one of my all-time favorite records. Unfortunately, the masses didn’t ‘get’ the whole cross dressing-rock n’ rolling-punky-glitter-blues thing back then, but they certainly (unknowingly) bought into it in the 1980s, when many hair bands like Motley Crue and Guns n’ Roses rose to fame, citing the Dolls as a major influence.
Anyway, Cyrinda and David were Max’s Kansas City royalty; Rock Scene constantly published photos and gossip about the couple in their bi-monthly magazine, and they were deeply in love. However, by the time they finally tied the knot in 1977, it was too little too late. The Dolls’ failure to take off commercially had disbanded the group in ’75. The stalling of David’s career led to the newlyweds living in a shabby apartment not to her liking or expectation, and fights were frequent. Looking back on it, I don’t see why she even married him, since things had been going from bad to worse for at least a year. However, it’s quite fun to look at those old photos and remember a great rock n’ roll couple often forgotten.

i think you'd like these pictures, although most of them you already seem to have.
It won't work in actual fact, that is what I suppose.
This topic was really educational and nicely written.
