Very groovy-- I've always wanted to go to Joshua Tree. My Dad went there once and practised tracking animals. Not to hunt, just to observe. Do you know if they were using peyote, san pedro, or something else?

Fabulous site -- thank you so much! Amazing images! do you happen to know when (the date) of the Joshua Tree photo shoot? Also the Stonehenge pix? btw...it says "Marianne" above on of the photos, but I believe that's Anita since Marianne wasn't at Joshua Tree. Thanks again for the marvelous collections! :)

Hi Susan, thanks. Actually, Marianne did go to Joshua Tree, but it wasn't at the same time as Anita, Keith and Gram. Marianne went in the summer of '69 when she visited Mick out in Los Angeles. I believe that the Anita, Keith and Gram on psychadelics shots were from 1968. It's definitely Marianne in those photos (grainy though they are). Her hair was real short then, like the classic shot of her at Hyde Park in July 1969.

Thanks for your note! As you know, you're right -- after I sent my note I came upon more photos from both of the sessions.

Awesome! Are there more pictures of Marianne out there at Joshua Tree? I had never seen any but the two I posted, and all those I got from Michael Cooper's book.

This can't succeed as a matter of fact, that is exactly what I believe.
